Today is International Roma Day, a time to celebrate Roma culture, history, and heritage. This day was first marked in 1990 in Serock, Poland, during a meeting of Roma leaders. April 8 was chosen to remember the first big Roma gathering in London in 1971, where the Roma flag and anthem, Djelem, Djelem, were introduced. Last year, we showed an exhibition by Polish Romani artist and activist Małgorzata Mirga-Tas. In this video, you can see how she creates her colourful textile collages, making her
