There are so many hazards to our flying-foxes that we can't change but what we can all do is work to remove barbed wire fencing from our environment. Hungry bats don't see barbed wire fences whilst foraging at night and as they come into feed in a flowering or fruiting shrub or tree, they can become entangled with sometimes fatal results. Let's all work together to ban the barb and please call a wildlife rescue organisation for any animal on a barbed wire fence as a matter of priority. www.wildl
