MRCC staff recently released this beautiful Red-tailed hawk. We believe this bird took a bath and it’s feathers froze and it was unable to get lift in the deep snow we had last week. X-rays and blood work were all good. Once the ice melted off its feathers, we moved it into one of our flight enclosures, and it was immediately flying laps.
